The Observatorio de la Industria Argentina de Desarrollo de Videojuegos [National Video Game Development Industry Observatory] is a public and private project promoted by the Universidad Nacional de Rafaela (UNRaf, Santa Fe) and powered by ADVA.

Since 2017, it has aimed to generate knowledge by obtaining the sector’s periodic metrics, thus making it possible to better understand the needs of our industry and those who comprise it, favoring the proposal and management of public and private policies for both the industrial and training fields. This effort will be sustained for 10 years.

The report aims to maintain an updated database of Argentina’s Video Game Development sector. It specifically seeks to learn about the status of the companies that comprise it in terms of general characteristics, human resources, financing, billing, foreign relations, main line of business, and types of developments, among others. The information gathered is strictly confidential.

The work is structured as follows:

• Presentation of the Observatory and definition of the report objectives.
• Presentation of the methodological comments.
• Presentation of the survey results, which are divided into sections: legal, human resources, billing, business and video game development, and financing.
• Preparation of the final comments, highlighting the most important points of the data obtained in the survey.
